If there’s one thing that became part of my life (and my daily routine, I admit it), it’s watching doramas.
Yes! Those Korean, Japanese, Chinese dramas… that make us laugh, cry, yell at the screen, and fall in love with characters that feel more real than some people out there.
At first, I thought I could only watch doramas if I subscribed to some super expensive platform or spent hours searching for random links online.
But after a lot of trial and error (and some big disappointments), I found apps that actually work—and the best part? Many of them are free!
So, if you also love a good romance with the perfect soundtrack, or a story packed with emotion, come with me—this list was made for you!
Viki Rakuten – The app that lives in my heart
First of all, Viki is every dorama lover’s favorite. It has a HUGE library of Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, and even Indian dramas.
The best part? Most episodes come with Portuguese subtitles, translated by fans—and they’re super well done!
There’s a free option (with ads) and also a premium version if you want full access. But honestly? You can watch A LOT with just the free version.
Plus, the interface is beautiful, easy to use, and you can even comment in real time during episodes. I LOVE it!
WeTV – Beautiful and well-organized doramas
Another app I use a lot is WeTV. It focuses mainly on Chinese, Thai, and Korean doramas, with top-notch video quality and episodes released quickly—almost at the same time as abroad.
There’s a lot of free content, and the ads aren’t too annoying.
The app experience is super smooth, and episodes are neatly organized by season. It’s perfect for binge-watching!
iQIYI – My personal Asian Netflix
This one became my latest addiction. iQIYI is a Chinese platform that’s seriously investing in high-quality doramas.
And it has it all: cute romance, fantasy, historical, rom-coms, mystery… all with that cinematic production we love.
Most content has Portuguese subtitles, and the app is really easy to use.
There’s a free version (with some ads) and a premium one, but you can enjoy a lot without paying anything. Plus, the new releases come out fast!
YouTube – Yep, you can watch doramas here too!
It may sound surprising, but YouTube actually has tons of full doramas! Some official channels post complete episodes with subtitles, all neatly organized into playlists.
I’ve watched full Korean, Thai, and even Japanese doramas on there.
And if you use your Smart TV or connect via your phone, it’s perfect for watching with popcorn on the couch. Just type the dorama name + “subtitled” and hit play!
DoramasFlix – By fans, for fans
Now for a more underground tip: DoramasFlix is an app created by fans that brings together lots of popular doramas with Portuguese subtitles.
It’s not available on official app stores, but you can download it safely through your browser.
It’s super light, easy to use, and has tons of great doramas in one place. I use it a lot when I want to watch a specific title I can’t find anywhere else.
Just be careful to download it from a safe source, okay?
Falling in love with doramas has never been easier
With these apps to watch doramas, I can enjoy my favorite dramas anytime, anywhere.
On my phone, TV, tablet—even on the bus—yep, I’ve cried silently while watching a dorama finale on public transport. Who hasn’t, right?
The best part is that there’s something for every taste: comedy, romance, action, fantasy, historical…
And now, with so many great and accessible apps, no one has to miss out anymore.
Ready for your next binge?
If you want to know how to watch doramas for free and with good quality, trust this list. These apps are part of my daily life and my weekly dose of emotion.
So go ahead, download them on your Android or iOS, because between a sigh, a tear, and a happy ending… there’s always another episode waiting for you.
